I don't recommend this bike for 2 up riding. I am 6' 185, the wife is 5'6" 120 and when we rode two up on my 2000, we banged helmets during shifting and braking. She continuosly complained about the rock hard pillion seat. It handles misserably at slow speed and during stops. This bike has adaquate RPM and stopping power. If you can afford it, I would look into a Honda, Shadow 750.
